I am soooo soory for being MIA the past 2 weeks. It was with good reason. What with a new job and moving, I had a lot on my plate. But I’m back now. D and I moved deeper into surburbia last week to a place called Stittsville. The downside is, its now further from my job. The good news though is, we moved into a bigger place which we means more space for my plants! 🙂
We have a small loft upstairs which D has graciously relinquished to me to set up as a plant space. It is coming together beautifully. I have about 70% of my plants here. The others are on the main floor waiting to be placed.

The terrarium shelf
And finally, my philodendron has lots of space to spread out!
I went from a north facing apartment to a house with north-east and south-west facing windows. I’m beaming with glee. The challenge now is to learn how to decorate with plants instead of just having them in one spot like I did in my old place. Because the only light coming in was from the windows, all my plants had to be on the window sill. Now though, the morning sun travels a bit further into the house meaning I can place some plants further out from the windows. I see lots of plant projects in the future. And oh, I finally get to place my wreath on my front door 🙂

Hi, I’m Barbara and I’m a little obsessed with house plants. I share my house plant adventures in the hopes of inspiring you to continue to enjoy the greens in your home. And if you have no plants (yet!) I hope this blog inspires you to add some green to your home. So go on! Try it! I think you might quite like it. And who knows? You may end up being … obsessed too.

Congratulations on the new house! It looks like you have some amazing new growing space. Is that nerve plant (fittonia) flowering?? Love the big philodendron selloum – perhaps you can tie it up for more upward growth. They tend to reach for the light.

Thanks Darryl. The fittonia is flowering. I had tried to tie it but I think it’s already too late for the matured leaves as they don’t bend properly. Maybe I should start tying the new leaves together so the grow upright? Any input on what else I can do is welcome.
